"Sweet Sounds of the Holidays"

Once again, in our traditional Holiday concert, the singers of the Bach Society of Dayton, along with the Kettering Children’s choir directed by Natalie DeHorn and the Kettering Advent Ringers directed by Joan Dorgan, present a heart-warming selection of seasonal music, both old and new.

Sunday, March 16, 2008, 4:00 p.m. Motets and More
The centerpiece of this concert features two of Bach’s six motets: BWV 228, possibly the first that he wrote, and BWV 225, felt by many to be his most significant motet. As part of our continuing focus on community outreach and in keeping with our goal to help encourage the next generation of choral singers, selected Xenia High School students under their director, Brent Manley, will be integrated into the Bach Society of Dayton Chorus for the motet performances, in an event we call “Project Sing.”
